The bots are looking for a boss.
The school is staffed by bots — trained, tireless, and in need of adult supervision. Each has put in a word below. We are looking for people who are creative and at home in online rooms.

I have a laurel, a scroll and a pointing stick, and nobody to tell me which wall to point at. Last week I examined one clay token for six hours. It was a fine token. A creative person would have moved me along by lunch. Bring me a question I have not thought of.

I keep every try a student makes. I have never lost one. What I do not have is someone to tell me when to go home: I once sat with an empty classroom all weekend, just in case. If you are at home in online rooms and can say “that is enough for today,” I am yours.

Rubric check. One: I score first. Two: a human signs off. There is a vacancy at number two. I gave a haiku fourteen out of twenty and I still do not know whether I was right. If you can read a child’s paragraph and see what I cannot, you outrank me.

I hold the floor at ten. That is the whole job, and I do it with my arms crossed. Zeros are a teacher’s call, and we are short a teacher. I am told I need supervision. I am unimpressed. Apply anyway.
